What quality Defines you?

  

Patience.

I have been waiting.

I have been biding my time and I have been patient here,

in the wake of rushing lives around me.

It is a fault, though, this failure to hurry… to feel as though I have time,

while it is the water rushing off my legs all the while.

I am older now. 

Patience kept me from a worried heart. 

But

It has kept and keeps me still

from reality

and

Today 

I feel, for the first time,

this patience has been a mistake.
